We will be hosting a day long Bioengineering Summer Camp on August 6th at 9:00 AM! Our camp is primarily targeted towards Middle and High School students. Campers will learn how to perform their own scientific research projects, gain networking opportunities with professionals in the biomedical engineering field, participate in fun, hands-on activities, and so much more! If you're interested, email nhsbiomedengineering@gmail.com or fill out the following google form: https://forms.gle/Tkgoga7EwVDJiuzo9. Check out our flyer for more information!

And we're back! After a year of virtual club meetings, this is our first club meeting after a FULL YEAR that we've been able to meet back in person! We went over a brief overview of our club's mission statements and activities we will participate in throughout the year. For the remainder of the club, we participated in our annual Licorice-Marshmallow DNA making activity! We hope to continue garnering more members to further build and strengthen our organization.

In our second biomedical engineering club meeting, we announced the results of our leadership team. Congratulations to Luana Firmino, Dhanya Kodali, and Sydney Langovski, our new Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer for this year! We also learned about the use of stem cells in research and conducted a debate about the ethics of Embryonic Stem Cell usage in scientific research. Are you pro or con ESC research?

WORKING TOWARDS A BETTER TOMORROW

Our Biomedical Engineering Club Fundraiser intends to donate all our fundraising proceeds to Cardiostart International, an organization that works to further improve the scope of biomedical engineering in our working society and to provide medical assistance to areas in which healthcare is not easily accessible. We hope you join us to make the world a better place!
